7 days roundtrip
Anchorage to Anchorage
|
The first
stop is part of North America's largest park area, Wrangell-St.
Elias National Park, host to many of North America's
highest mountains. Walk along moraines of ancient glaciers,
surrounded by the towering peaks of Mts.
Blackburn and St. Elias. Pass deeper into the Alaskan
interior and to the city of Fairbanks. Visit the natural
history museum or stroll along the historic downtown waterfront.
On to Denali, "the Great One",
which is Alaska's premier National Park. Ride the shuttle
to view moose, caribou and bear in their natural habitat,
and North America's tallest peak, Mt.
McKinley.

Take
a scenic flight for a bird's-eye view of this enormous mountain
dwarfing the landscape. For the truly adventurous, try whitewater
rafting in the rushing waters of the Nenana River. Finish
the day watching dogsled teams 'mush' at the famous demonstration
at park headquarters. Back to Anchorage, Alaska's largest
city, to sample the nightlife and local cuisine.
