Los Angeles to Seattle

Begin with a brief tour of Beverly
Hills and Hollywood: match your handprints with those of
the stars at Mann's Chinese Theater and view the legendary
Hollywood sign up in the hills. Then you head to Santa Barbara,
with its fine beaches, cafes and shops.
Continuing along the winding
Pacific
Coast Highway past hidden beaches and spectacular coastline,
you reach Carmel, a quaint little seaside village with beautiful
white beaches. You visit Monterey, where John Steinbeck
made Cannery Row famous, and then head inland across the
lush Central Valley to Yosemite NP.

You can hike in the forests,
or relax, soaking in the truly spectacular scenery of waterfalls
and granite monoliths in the Yosemite
Valley.
You will cross the Golden Gate
Bridge and enjoy a sightseeing tour of San Francisco. At
night you'll discover the wild city nightlife. Then you
head to northern California, less populated and much more
rural than the busy southern part of the state.
In Redwood
National Park, hike amidst the groves of giant, ancient
trees that gave this magnificent park its name, then shoot
up the coast to Seattle's funkier sister, Portland. Enjoy
the city, then get back to nature, to witness its awesome
force in the aftermath of the famous volcanic eruption at
Mt. St.
Helens National Monument. Cap it all off with the jewel
of the Pacific Northwest, Mt. Rainier NP, before finishing
with a final blast in Seattle."
