"Everyone should travel Coast-to-Coast across America at least once in their lifetime! This is the most popular way to do it . . . you can travel in either direction, Eastbound from LA to New York, or Westbound from New York to LA. On your journey, you will pass through 17 States, over 4000 miles in all. Here we describe the Westbound trip...

You depart New York City after a brief sightseeing tour, and head for Washington DC, the nation's capital. Here you visit the White House, the Capitol Buildings and see the famous monuments and buildings. Then it's south into the Confederacy . . . Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee and Alabama. You can try river-rafting and enjoy hiking in the Smoky Mts. You spend two nights in the city known as the Big Easy . . . New Orleans, where the bars don't close until you do! .

Then you are off across Texas, and you'll stop in San Antonio and Del Rio. At Del Rio you can enjoy watersports and take a trip across the border to Mexico. In New Mexico, the landscape changes from greens to browns as you approach the desertlands, and head underground in Carlsbad Caverns National Park.

Next is the Grand Canyon, where you will not be disappointed . . . the scale is incredible. Take a flight over the Canyon, or try hiking into the Canyon (only for the very fit), or simply relax on the Canyon's rim. The Glitz of Las Vegas is next, and you "must" experience the casinos!

You enter California and aim for the City of Angels, where you can enjoy an afternoon and evening at Disneyland. On our last day, we can dip our toes in the Pacific Ocean, sightsee in Hollywood, Santa Monica and Beverly Hills before heading to your hotel where the tour ends at 17.00."
